The Tourist Office in Karlsborg offers many guided tours within the fortress one of them is;

The adventure tour which you can also combine with Karlsborg Fortress Museum in a Kombi ticket. With this ticket you get to know both the rich history that relates to the military history from then to now but also be physically in place in the corridors of the fortress.

The guide tour on the Adventure tour starts with a movie that takes you back in time to the year 1865 and how life on the fortress could have looked then. Then the guide takes you down the dark, underground corridors, where the gunpowder smoke is dense, cannon muddles, floor shakes and rats hiss ...

The tour ends at the museum where you can start a walk in the exhibition that offers the military in original objects and exciting historical stories.

** These tours start again at the end of May and end in september. The museum is open daily all year round, with some deviations **
